What each shade actually looks like

VLT is the percentage of light the film lets through, so a lower number is darker. These are the standard shades. Look at the word behind each pane.

The Georgia limits

This is state law, not our policy. It is also the single most common reason a tint job has to come back off, so it is worth two minutes before you pick a shade.

Still wondering about something?Browse all 31 answers, or ask us directly.

What is the darkest window tint that is legal in Georgia?

Georgia requires 32% VLT or lighter on the front side windows of every vehicle. On a passenger car the back side windows and rear windshield also have to be 32% or lighter. On an SUV, van, or truck the rear glass can be any darkness. Windshields take non-reflective film above the AS-1 line only, film may not be more than 20% reflective, and red and amber are not allowed. This is state law (O.C.G.A. 40-8-73.1), not our policy, and we confirm the limit for your exact vehicle before any film is cut.

Can you take off my old tint?

Yes. Old, purple, or bubbling film is stripped, the adhesive comes off with it, and the glass is cleaned on both sides before new film goes on. Removal is quoted as its own line, whether or not you are re-tinting.

Can I book interior and exterior work in the same visit?

Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way to do it. List everything you are considering on the quote form and we price it as one job with one drop-off.

Do you tint sunroofs or panoramic roofs?

Send us the vehicle and we will tell you. Roof glass varies enormously in shape, curvature, and what the factory has already done to it, so it is quoted on the car rather than from a price list.

Tell us what you drive.

Send your year, make & model and the shade you want. We'll confirm what's legal and send a price.
