Your paint code is matched, then the parts you want body-colored are prepped, sprayed and cleared so they look like they left the factory that way.

A match, or it hasn't worked
Body-colored parts are unforgiving. Close is worse than not doing it at all, because the eye finds the seam immediately and then cannot stop looking at it. So the work starts at your paint code, not at a shade that looks about right in the booth.
Color matching is exact on a paint code. On an older vehicle with sun-faded paint, we'll tell you honestly what to expect before you book.

The process
Four stages. Two of them are just waiting, and skipping either is why cheap paint peels.

Match
We pull the paint code off your vehicle and match it, rather than guessing at a shade.
- 02
Prep
Parts come off the car, get cleaned, sanded and primed. This is where a paint job is won or lost.
- 03
Spray
Base coat, then clear, in coats thin enough that the finish stays flat.
- 04
Cure & refit
The paint cures fully before anything is handled or bolted back on.

How long
Parts have to cure fully before they are handled. We confirm timing with your quote.
Faded paint
On an older vehicle we'll tell you honestly how close the match will get.
Doing it with other work
If your car is already here for tint or lighting, paint is the easiest thing to add.

Will color-match paint be an exact match to my car?
On a paint code, yes — the match is taken from your vehicle's own code rather than eyeballed. On an older vehicle whose paint has faded in the sun, a code match will be slightly fresher than the surrounding panel, and we will tell you that before you book rather than after.
Can I book interior and exterior work in the same visit?
Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way to do it. List everything you are considering on the quote form and we price it as one job with one drop-off.
Do the parts come off the car to be painted?
Yes. Mirror caps, grilles, badges, handles, and trim come off so they can be cleaned, sanded, primed, and sprayed properly, then go back on once the paint has cured. Painting a part while it is still bolted to the car is how you get overspray and an edge that peels.
