Pricing & booking4

How much does a starlight headliner cost?Pricing & booking

Starlight packages are exact prices, from $379 for 250 stars to $2,349 for 3,000 stars, and the 1,000-star package ($899) is the most popular. Shooting stars, a custom logo, suede and ambient lighting are priced separately on top of your package, and a few items (the logo, suede pillars, the door & dash ambient package) are starting prices that depend on the vehicle. Send your year, make, and model and we confirm your exact total.

How do I get a quote, and why do you need my year, make, and model?Pricing & booking

Request a quote online or call us with your year, make, and model and what you are picturing, and we reply with an exact price and available dates. Cabin size, roof layout, and how the trim comes apart differ from car to car, so your vehicle is what turns a starting price into an exact one.

What areas do you serve, and do I bring the car to you?Pricing & booking

Starlit Studio serves drivers in Cumming, Marietta, and Alpharetta, Georgia. Yes, the car comes to us: work is done indoors at our studio, where trim and headliners can come out in a clean, controlled space.

Can I book interior and exterior work in the same visit?Pricing & booking

Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way to do it. List everything you are considering on the quote form and we price it as one job with one drop-off.

Interior & custom9

How many stars should I choose?Interior & custom

250 to 500 stars gives a subtle, clean sky. 600 to 1,200 is fuller and deeper, and 1,000 stars ($899) is the most popular package. 1,500 and up is high-density coverage, up to 3,000 stars for a showroom look. Shooting stars are an add-on to any package rather than a separate install: 5 for +$199, 10 for +$299, 15 for +$399, 20 for +$499, 30 for +$699, or 50 for +$899.

Does a starlight headliner damage my headliner?Interior & custom

Starlight means making a small hole through the headliner board for each fiber. Done properly, the fabric stays tight and clean and every fiber sits flush. It is a permanent change to that headliner, which is exactly why placement and technique matter.

Can you add a custom logo or a suede headliner?Interior & custom

Yes. Custom fiber-optic logos start at +$249: vehicle logos, initials, symbols, or your own design, priced by size and complexity. A suede headliner is +$299 on a standard vehicle and +$449 on a large vehicle or SUV, with suede pillars starting at +$199.

What optional add-ons can I put on top?Interior & custom

Twinkle effect +$199, Dimming controller +$149, Color changing (RGBW) +$199, Door handle lights +$149, and Under seat lighting +$199. They are optional upgrades to a starlight or ambient installation, added to your package price.

Can I get a suede headliner without a starlight install?Interior & custom

Yes. Suede is sold on its own as well as alongside a starlight package. The headliner still comes out of the car either way, so it is quoted separately — send your year, make, and model and we will confirm the price.

What suede colors have you actually installed?Interior & custom

Black, red, and grey are all on this site in our own photos. Other colors are available, so tell us what you are picturing when you send your vehicle.

Can you build a logo from a photo I send?Interior & custom

Yes. A photo of a badge, a screenshot, or a sketch is enough to work from. The shape is scaled and mapped onto your headliner board before any fiber goes in, so it lands clear of the dome light, handles, and sunroof. Logos start at +$249 and the final price depends on size and complexity.

Do the add-ons work with both starlight and ambient lighting?Interior & custom

Twinkle effect +$199, Dimming controller +$149, Color changing (RGBW) +$199, Door handle lights +$149, and Under seat lighting +$199. Twinkle applies to a starlight install, door handle and under seat lighting extend an ambient install, and dimming and color changing can apply to either. Tell us which install they are going on and we will confirm what fits.

Where can a fiber-optic logo go in the car?Interior & custom

Anywhere on the headliner that is flat enough to hold the shape and clear of the dome light, grab handles, and a sunroof opening. Above the rear seats is the most common spot, because that is where there is the most uninterrupted roof. We map the position on your vehicle before anything is drilled.

Ambient lighting2

What does the ambient lighting package include?Ambient lighting

The Full Door & Dash Ambient Package starts at $599 and covers all 4 doors, the dashboard, and footwell lighting, with multiple colors, Dream Color effects, brightness control, and app / controller integration. The Dream Color Sunroof / Moonroof Strip ($249) lights the roof opening, on its own or alongside it.

Can I combine starlight and ambient lighting?Ambient lighting

Yes, and most complete builds do. Start with a starlight package, then add the Sunroof / Moonroof Ambient Strip ($249) or the Full Door & Dash Ambient Package ($599 starting price) for the rest of the cabin.

Exterior & glass13

Do you work on the outside of the vehicle as well?Exterior & glass

Yes. Alongside the interior work we do underglow, rock and wheel lights, headlights, tail lights and halos, window tinting, and color-match paint. If you want interior and exterior work done together, it is one quote and one visit.

Can I run underglow while I am driving?Exterior & glass

Rules on what lighting may be used on a moving vehicle are not the same as the rules for a parked one, and they vary. We go through what applies to your vehicle before we install anything, so you know what you can run on the road and what is for shows and parking lots.

What is the difference between rock lights and wheel lights?Exterior & glass

Rock lights are pods mounted up inside the wheel wells and under the frame, aimed down at the ground and the suspension. Wheel lights are rings mounted behind the wheel that light the face of the wheel and the tyre, and they turn with it. Rock lights light the ground around the truck. Wheel lights are what people see.

Do I have to do all four wheels?Exterior & glass

You do not have to, but two lit wheels and two dark ones reads as a fault rather than a choice, so almost everyone does all four. We will quote either.

What is the darkest window tint that is legal in Georgia?Exterior & glass

Georgia requires 32% VLT or lighter on the front side windows of every vehicle. On a passenger car the back side windows and rear windshield also have to be 32% or lighter. On an SUV, van, or truck the rear glass can be any darkness. Windshields take non-reflective film above the AS-1 line only, film may not be more than 20% reflective, and red and amber are not allowed. This is state law (O.C.G.A. 40-8-73.1), not our policy, and we confirm the limit for your exact vehicle before any film is cut.

Can you take off my old tint?Exterior & glass

Yes. Old, purple, or bubbling film is stripped, the adhesive comes off with it, and the glass is cleaned on both sides before new film goes on. Removal is quoted as its own line, whether or not you are re-tinting.

Will color-match paint be an exact match to my car?Exterior & glass

On a paint code, yes — the match is taken from your vehicle's own code rather than eyeballed. On an older vehicle whose paint has faded in the sun, a code match will be slightly fresher than the surrounding panel, and we will tell you that before you book rather than after.

Is smoked or tinted lighting still legal to drive on?Exterior & glass

It depends how dark it goes and which light it is. We will tell you what stays road-legal on your vehicle before we touch a housing, and we would rather turn down a job than hand back a car you cannot drive at night.

How are underglow strips mounted, and does anything get drilled?Exterior & glass

The strips mount to the underside of the body, tucked up far enough that you see the light on the ground rather than the strip itself. Wiring follows the factory looms and enters the cabin through an existing grommet, so nothing is drilled that does not have to be.

Do the parts come off the car to be painted?Exterior & glass

Yes. Mirror caps, grilles, badges, handles, and trim come off so they can be cleaned, sanded, primed, and sprayed properly, then go back on once the paint has cured. Painting a part while it is still bolted to the car is how you get overspray and an edge that peels.

Will opening my headlights cause condensation later?Exterior & glass

Only if they are not resealed properly. Housings are opened, worked on, and resealed before they go back on the vehicle, and that reseal is the part of the job that decides whether you get moisture in six months.

Can I choose where the rock lights point?Exterior & glass

Pods are aimed when they are mounted, so yes, within what the wheel well allows. Most people want the ground and the suspension lit rather than the tyre, and we will set them that way unless you ask for something else.

Do you tint sunroofs or panoramic roofs?Exterior & glass

Send us the vehicle and we will tell you. Roof glass varies enormously in shape, curvature, and what the factory has already done to it, so it is quoted on the car rather than from a price list.

Install & warranty3

What vehicles can you work on, and how long does it take?Install & warranty

Most cars, trucks, and SUVs. Panoramic roofs, overhead consoles, and some convertible tops change what is possible, so we look at your exact year, make, and model first. Timing depends on the vehicle and the work — for starlight the headliner comes out of the car and every fiber is placed by hand — and we confirm drop-off and pick-up with your quote.

Do you offer a warranty?Install & warranty

Yes. Every starlight and ambient lighting installation is backed by a 2-year warranty.

Can add-ons be fitted later, after my install?Install & warranty

They are cheaper and cleaner done at the same time, because the trim is already out of the car. If you already have an install from us and want to add something, send us a message and we will tell you exactly what is involved for your vehicle.

Tell us what you drive.

Message us with your year, make & model and what you're picturing. We reply with an exact quote for your vehicle.
