Exterior lighting
Rock & wheel lights
Two different systems that both live around the wheels, and get confused constantly. Rock lights point down at the ground. Wheel lights point out at you. Most trucks that run one end up running both.
Pricing for both systems is being finalised. Request a quote and we’ll send an exact number.

The difference, in one picture
Same corner of the vehicle, two completely different jobs.
What each one looks like
Rock lights light the ground. Wheel lights light the wheel. Together, one controller runs both.

Running both
They share a controller, so both systems can sit on one app and one color. Done together, the wiring is run once and the wheels only come off once — which is most of the labour on either job.

What is the difference between rock lights and wheel lights?
Rock lights are pods mounted up inside the wheel wells and under the frame, aimed down at the ground and the suspension. Wheel lights are rings mounted behind the wheel that light the face of the wheel and the tyre, and they turn with it. Rock lights light the ground around the truck. Wheel lights are what people see.
Do I have to do all four wheels?
You do not have to, but two lit wheels and two dark ones reads as a fault rather than a choice, so almost everyone does all four. We will quote either.
Can I book interior and exterior work in the same visit?
Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way to do it. List everything you are considering on the quote form and we price it as one job with one drop-off.
Can I choose where the rock lights point?
Pods are aimed when they are mounted, so yes, within what the wheel well allows. Most people want the ground and the suspension lit rather than the tyre, and we will set them that way unless you ask for something else.
