Suede headliners
The factory headliner comes out and the roof is rewrapped in suede. On its own it changes how the whole cabin reads. Under a starlight install it is the difference between stars and a night sky.

Why people change the headliner first
Factory headliner fabric is light grey, slightly shiny, and built to a price. It reflects everything: the dash glow, streetlights, your phone. In a car you have spent money on, it is usually the cheapest-looking surface left.
Suede does the opposite. It absorbs light instead of bouncing it, so the roof goes quiet and everything below it looks more expensive than it did an hour ago.
If you are adding stars, it matters more. A fiber-optic point against grey fabric is a dot. The same point against black suede is a star with black around it, which is the entire effect you are paying for.
Suede is fitted to the headliner board itself, not glued over the old fabric.

Colors we have installed
Every one of these is our own work, photographed in the studio. Other colors are available. Ask when you send your vehicle.

Black
The factory-plus look. Disappears into a dark cabin and makes the fibers the only thing you see.

Red
A deliberate statement. Reads deep burgundy with the stars off, red under them.

Grey
Lifts a dark cab without going bright. Common on trucks and work interiors.
Suede pricing
Two ways to buy it, and the difference is only whether the headliner is already coming out of the car for a starlight install.
With a starlight package
The board is already out and apart, so suede is an add-on to your package price.
Suede headliner — standard vehicle
Added to any starlight package.
Suede headliner — large vehicle / suv
Larger roof, more material, more time.
Suede pillars
A- and B-pillars wrapped to match the roof.
Pillars are a starting price and depend on the vehicle.
On its own
Suede with no starlight install. The headliner still comes out, so it is priced separately.
Suede headliner — standard vehicle
No stars, just the material.
Suede headliner — large vehicle / suv
SUVs, trucks and long roofs.
Suede pillars
Pillars only, or with the roof.
This service is quoted per vehicle. Send your year, make and model and we'll give you an exact number before you commit.
Suede and stars, in one visit
Both jobs need the headliner out of the car. Doing them together means the roof comes down once instead of twice, and the fibers are set into the suede rather than through it afterwards.
How the two jobs fit together
Order of work
Suede goes on the board first. Every fiber is then placed through the suede and trimmed flush.
Why it matters
Wrapping suede over an existing star install means re-piercing several hundred finished holes.
If you're unsure
Start with the suede. Stars can be added later — it just means the board comes out again.

Still wondering about something?Browse all 31 answers, or ask us directly.
Can I get a suede headliner without a starlight install?
Yes. Suede is sold on its own as well as alongside a starlight package. The headliner still comes out of the car either way, so it is quoted separately — send your year, make, and model and we will confirm the price.
What suede colors have you actually installed?
Black, red, and grey are all on this site in our own photos. Other colors are available, so tell us what you are picturing when you send your vehicle.
Can I book interior and exterior work in the same visit?
Yes, and it is usually the cheaper way to do it. List everything you are considering on the quote form and we price it as one job with one drop-off.
